Is your bedroom feeling a bit tired? Boring? Out of style and no longer interesting to spend time in? This calls for a makeover! Redecorating is always fun, and you can make your room seem fresher – and more beautiful to stay in.
There is, however, a problem: you only have $100 in your wallet. So how do you do bedroom décor on a budget when you have so little money? Well, with a few carpenter skills and a little imagination, you may easily get things done. Here are a few ideas that will not only be cheap but also easy to make.
1. Boldly Paint an Accent Wall
If you have a bedroom that is small enough to be repainted using one gallon of paint, then this is probably one of the best pieces of advice that you could go for. Let’s say, for instance, that your walls are white; by painting is a dark green, it will look like an oasis. Add a couple of green accessories to it, and you have yourself a fully redecorated room – which brings us to the next step.
2. Bring In a Few Plants
If you have any tall plants lying around in your house, you might want to bring at least one in your room. This will fully change the aspect of the entire room – particularly if you have not been a flower person. Plus, if you do not have any tall plants in your home, you can always buy some saplings beforehand. By taking care of them for a while, the cheap sapling will turn into an otherwise expensive exotic flower. And all it will take is some water.
3. Wallpaper on the Closet Doors
Wallpaper is cheap, and there is literally nothing that it can’t do. This is why, if you are bored with your closet doors, you should stick some wallpaper to it. Find a pattern that you like and bring the funk into your room. Good news if you have a small bedroom – because the smaller the doors are, the less expensive it will be.

4. Replace the Ceiling Globe
Generally speaking, the first thing that people see when entering your bedroom is the ceiling globe. Therefore, if you want to give your bedroom a fresh vibe, you should change it. There are countless modern and vintage globes under $100 – and even if you are not comfortable tackling the electric wiring, you can easily find someone charging at an hourly rate.
5. Make a DIY Decorated Mirror
Mirrors are always great to have around since they bring more light into the room. Take an old mirror that you have around and build a wooden frame around it. If you are feeling bold, you might take a glue gun and some yarn – and then glue it in a diamond pattern. It will look glorious, while still being cheap.
Hopefully, our bedroom decorating ideas helped you out on your redecorating spree. As you can see, you do not have to spend a lot of money to spruce up your bedroom.
